Abstract

The background of this research is based on learning achievement that can be by students during the learning process, but there are still 41 students of HEB Undip who have Grade Point average with numbers <2.25. Make researcher interest to make a research about the corrrelation lecture communication pattern (X1) and intensity of co mmunication in the peer group (X2) FEB Undip student achievement (Y) The purpose of this study to determine the effect of lecture communication pattern and intensity of communication in the peer group on FEB Undip student achievement. The mathematical theory of communication and theory of reference group is used to explain the relationship of lecture communication pattern and intensity of communication in the peer group on FEB Undip student achievement. This research is a quantitative research with explanatory type. The sample used was a 88 students SI FEB Undip force 2016, with a random cluster sampling technique. The result og Kendall Tau_b concept and analysis shows that lecture communication pattern and intensity of communication in the peer group on FEB Undip student achievement have significance value 0,000 and correlation value 0,501. This shows that the two variables have a positive relationship with strong closeness. However, the results intensity of communication in the peer group and FEB Undip student achievement have significance value 0,000 and correlation value 0,416. This shows that the two variables have a positive relationship with strong closeness. With regard to this result the study the provide to lecture and groups of friend of students to able to further improve and provide motivation to get better learning achievement.
