Abstract

Background : Turmeric acid extract has consumed by society in Indonesia. The effect of curcumin in turmeric has reported decrease estrogen and progesterone level that can harm pregnancy. Objective : To proof the effect of turmeric acid in endometrial histopathology representation of gestational mice Method : Experimental Laboratory Research with a Post Only Control Group Design. Sample consist of 20 gestational mice divided by simple random sampling into 4 groups ( K, P1, P2, P3). The extract was given from 8th day and 17th of gestation. After that, the uterus were taken for microscopic. Analyzed by One way Anova Test and Post Hoc Test. Result : Histophatologycal examination showed decrease of endometrial thickness. One way Anova test result obtained significant differences of K, P1, P2, P3. (p=0,000). Post Hoc Test result obtained significant differences in K-P1 ((p=0,001), K-P2 (p=0,002), K-P3 (p=0,000), P1-P3 (p=0,004) and P2-P3 (p=0,002), but obtained unsignificant in P1-P2 (p=0,806). Conclution : Turmeric acid in level of dosage can cause the change of endometrial histophatology that is the decrease of endometrial thickness Keyword : Turmeric acid extract, Endometrial histophatology, Endometrial thickness
