Abstract

Variabilitas yang terdapat di dalam data yang diarnbil sccara random dad populasi takhingga (atau dianggap takhingga) danat dibagi mcnjadi dua buah variabilitas, yaitu variabilitas efek (perlakuan) dan variabilitas galat, yang disebut dengan komponen varians. Penurunan nilai-nilai parameter ANOVA dan pemaksimalan persamaan likelihood digunakan untuk memperolch estimator komponen varians. Pemaksimalan bagian persamaan maksimum likelihood yang tidak mengandung parameter p disebut persamaan REML - singkatan dad maksimum likelihood terbatas -. ANOVA dan REML memiliki esfirnator komponen varians yang sama dalam data scimbang. Keefekti fan estimator REML kurang daripada estimator maksimum likelihood. In data, variability taken randomly from infinite ( or assume to be infinite) population, may be separated into two variability, namely effect (treatment) variability and error variability, that is called variance components. Derivating the values of ANOVA parameter and maximazing likelihood equation used to gain variance components estimator. Maximazing part of likelihood equation which is not involving p parameter is called REML equation — stand for restricted maximum likelihood -. Both ANOVA and REML have same variance components estimator in case of balanced data. EtTectivity REML estimator has one less than maximum likelihood estimator.
