ESENSI PENGALAMAN KEPEMIMPINAN PEREMPUAN PADA UNIVERSITAS DIPONEGORO

Abstract

The research conducted at the University of Diponegoro. Has the aim of describing the leadership experience of women in universities, describing the environment of female leadership, describing the conflict management faced by women leaders, and describing the management of gender issues faced by women leaders in Diponegoro University. This type of research is a descriptive study describing the "Essence of Women's Leadership Experience" with a qualitative-phenomenological approach in a interpretive paradigm. The subjects in this research is the Dean of Women of Diponegoro University period of term of 2015-2019 which amounted to 4 people. Data collection techniques using in-depth interview method. Data will be analyzed by doing data reduction, theme classification, and then combine textural and structural descriptions as the final result. The results showed that the experience of the four informants in their career as deans is a form of self-actualization to the academic community, nation and state. In addition, in dealing with conflict they use constructive conflict management and use conflict resolution types: accommodating and collaborating. In the face of gender issues when running for Dean, they do not respond and focus on the main goal, and remain to be himself.
