Abstract

Background: Language development is an indicator for all of children’s development delay. 80% development delay is caused by the lack of stimulation. Interactive media was become a stimulation in this digital era. Interactive media is an audio visual media which is expected to increase a language development on children between 2- 3 years old. It could be increased their vocabulary, fonation, and also their ability to understand colours and numbers Aim: To anylize the effect of interactive media stimulation on children language development Method: This research used quasy experimental of one group pretest-posttest design. The sample was taken by purposive sampling. The sample were students of Toddller Setulus Hati and Tadika Puri Semarang (n=30). The intervention was given for 3 weeks ( twice in a week) and the duration for each intervention was 30 minutes. A language development was measured before and 3 weeks after intervention by using the capute scale for instrumental measurement.. Results: There was a significant increase between the language development before and after the giving of interactive media stimulation (p=0.0001). Conclusion: There was an increase of language development in 2-3 years old children after the stimulation of interactive media Keywords: Language development, Stimulation, Interactive media, Capute scale
