HUBUNGAN ANTARA DIMENSI KURSI DAN KELUHAN NYERI PUNGGUNG BAWAH MAHASISWA FK UNDIP

Abstract

Background : Low back pain (LBP) is a common health problem worldwide. One of the risk factors of low back pain is sitting for a long time and in a wrong sitting position. The wrong sitting position can be affected by the dimensions or design a chair that does not fit the sitting anthropometry. Aim :The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between dimensions of the chair and the complaints of LBPin students of Faculty of Medicine Undip. Methods :This study was an observational study using cross-sectional approach conducted in March – April 2016 with the research subjects were students of Faculty of Medicine Undip who are sitting on the chair for 4 hours.This research was conducted using questionnaires DASS 42 as a measurement of psychological status and numerical rate scale (NRS) to measure the intensity of the pain. Analysis of the used Chi-square. Results : The number of respondents was 64 people.There was not a significant relationship between dimensions of the chair and the complaints of LBP in students of Faculty of Medicine Undip (p=0,114). Conclusions : There is not a relationship between dimensions of the chair and the complaints of LBP in students of Faculty of Medicine Undip Keywords :dimensions, complaints of LBP, NRS.
