Abstract

Ihda Rohadatul ‘Aisyah Hidayat A Descriptive Self-Care Management of Client with Hypertension In Pudak Payung Semarang xi + 106 pages + 16 tables + 2 pictures + 15 attachments Hypertension is a disorder in which blood pressure increased intermittently and settled, so client need to do self care management to optimize health, control and manage the signs and symptoms, and prevent the complications. Self care management is one of the intervention can be done by client with hypertension. Self care management goals is to control the client’s blood pressure. The aim of this research is to describe the self care management to clients with hypertension in Pudak Payung district of Semarang. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with survey approachment. The sample taken by proportionate random sampling with number of samples are 112 respondents. The result of this research showed that the self care management of clients with hypertension in sufficient category are 73,2%. The five components also showed in sufficient category which is 78,6% on self integrated, 66,1% on self regulation, 62,5% on healthcare interaction, 58,9% on blood pressure monitoring, and 79,5% on the obedience of the suggested regulation. Supports for the clients are very important to help the improvement of self care management, it will be better if family member can keep motivate and give the attention to the clients.
