Efek Ekstrak Nigella Sativa Terhadap Jumlah Limfosit dan Makrofag Jaringan Kanker Payudara Mencit C3H The Effect Of Nigella Sativa On Lymphocyte And Macrophage Number In Breast Cancer C3H Mice

Abstract

Background : Breast cancer therapy include multimodality treatment and till now only a few that can reach complete responds and partials responds. And there is alternative treatment that has been used but no evidence base of science. Nigella sativa is traditional plant that has been used for hundreds years ago to cure many illness include cancer and need for further study to prove the efficacy in cancer specially breast cancer. Purpose : to know the effect of Nigella sativa extracts on lymphocyte and macrophage number in breast cancer mice Method. Experimental Laboratories Subject are 24 C3H mice that have been implanted with breast cancer and divide into 4 groups, group I is control, group II given 0,175 cc/d extracts, group III given 0,36 cc/d, group IV given 0,7 cc/d for 3 weeks and than tumor specimens was taken and check hystophathologic with Hematosiklin Eosin. Data statistically test with Kruskal-Wallis and Mann- Whitney U Test. With Confidence interval 95% and significance was assigned at P<0,05. Data analysis with SPSS Ver 17.0. Results. Lymphocyte count on group (P1 : 11,8; P2 :15,4; P3 : 21,2) more high compare with control group (6,4) and for macrophage count (P1 : 5,6; P2 : 8,6; P3 : 15,2) more high compare with the control group (2,6). Conclusion. Extracts Nigella sativa with increasing doses can increase macrophage and lymphocyte on mice breast cancer. More high the dose will be more high the response ( dose response relationship). Key word. Nigella sativa, lymphocyte, macrophage, breast cancer
