Abstract

The purpose of this study is how the people of Fukushima improve the agricultural industry sector and also find out what the government's efforts are in assessing the food repair situation in Fukushima after the nuclear disaster which is closely related to the culture of Japanese society, namely ganbaru culture. The method used in this thesis is a qualitative method using literature review. The theory used in analyzing the thesis is the theory of resilience with the concept of ganbaru seen in the events following the nuclear disaster in Fukushima. In this study, the ganbaru culture that exists in Japanese society is seen in hard work and unyielding efforts in improving the agricultural industrial sector after the nuclear disaster that occurred in March 2011 which had an impact on the decline in the agricultural industry sector in Fukushima. In short, this ganbaru culture is also seen in the government's role in efforts to improve the agricultural industry sector. Ganbaru can also be seen from the unyielding attitude shown by farmers or the people of Fukushima who make innovations in the agricultural sector so that their products can be consumed by consumers without worry so as to increase sales of Fukushima agricultural products.
