Abstract

ABSTRACT Hanif Masyudul Haq. 2020. "An overview of child disciplinary techniques on Anime entitled "Usagi Drop" Created by Unita Yumi" Thesis, Japanese Language and Culture Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Supervisor Yuliani Rahmah, S. Pd., M.Hum. This research uses anime entitled Usagi Drop as material object and disciplinary techniques as the formal object. The purpose of this research is to analyse an overview of disciplinary technique on raising kid pattern that Daikichi did on anime Usagi Drop created by Unita Yumi. Literature sociology method is used in this research. Besides, this research is classified as a type of library research. The narrative structural approach by Himawan Pratista is used to analyse the intrinsic elements and disciplinary techniques by Elizabeth Hurlock is used to analyse disciplinary techniques which Daikichi used to raise Rin. This research presents narrative movie's structural which contains character, problem and conflict, purpose, relation between narrative and space, and relation between narrative and time. In addition, the results of this research based on elizabeth hurlock's disciplinary techniques showed that Daikichi used child raising pattern with authoritative and democratic disciplinary technique.
