Abstract

Protested against RKUHP in Kota Cirebon occurred after DPR RI announced to legitimize RKUHP. Participants of protested were dominated by student activists based on their knowledge about RKUHP. The purpose of this research was to explain the level of loyalty to politics, the intensity of media consumption, and the intensity of peer group communication to the level of student communication knowledge about RKUHP. This research used quantitative and gratification methods. This research used multiple linear regression test to find out the magnitude of inter-variable comparisons. The research’s population was all participants of the RKUHP protest in Kota Cirebon, with a multistage cluster sampling technique, samples have found were 30 students of IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon’s. The technique of collecting respondent’s answer data used an online questionnaire The results of the research prove that all hypotheses prove to be a positive between variables with the overall Pearson Correlation value and the regression value has an r value above r Table with a value of 0.05, which means the whole was significant. Suggestions for student activists are expected to increase the level of knowledge about the Criminal Code, especially on aspects of understanding the problematic articles in the Criminal Code, be knowledgeable about the Criminal Code, and have the ability to synthesize Criminal Code Criminal Code with the Criminal Code. Suggestions for further research can test other variables that affect the level of knowledge. Limitations of this study which only tests a small portion of the population can be improved in subsequent studies using a wider sampling technique for respondents.
