Hypothesis testing is done by using the Partial correlation test. After conducting a hypothesis test, it was concluded that the perception of detik.com was proven to be ineligible as an antecedent variable. These results are shown from the results obtained, even though partially the relationship variables in the study were not significantly related, but simultaneously appear to be related. The results showed that the news of the Papua riots affected the image of the police through readers' perceptions about detik.com and demographic factors were known to influence the formation of police images through gender and type of work. The police image is influenced by the reader's perception of detik.com by 21.2%.
