Abstract
Metode penelitian : quasi experimen dengan desain “group pre and post test design with control group”. Kata kunci : Audio recorder, guided imagery music, tingkat nyeri, pasca bedah Background: There are two impacts of post-surgery procedure to patients namely, physiological and psychological impact. The psychological impacts can be identified by emerge of the pain and anxiety.Meanwhile, the physiological impacts are characterized by vital change on blood pressure, vein, and respiratory. The intervention of non-pharmacology pain management aims to minimize the pain and unstable vital changes by giving guided imagery music. This is done by using audio recorder to the patients of laparotomy post-surgery. Objectives: This research aims to figure out the effectiveness of guided imagery music to the pain of laparotomy post-surgery patients. Research Method: The method applied to this research is quasi experiment designed with group pre and post-test design with control group. There are two groups of experiment, namely intervention and control group. The intervention group consists of patient having been treated by guided imager music and the control group are those having treated by standard treatment. Result: There is a significant difference on score of pre and post-guided imagery music treatment. The statistic test on pain shows p= 0,000< 0,05 meaning Ho is refused. The result of statistic test on vital changes shows that the respiratory score is p= 0,000<0,05meaning Ho is refused; the vain shows 0,000<0,05 meaning Ho is refused;and the mean of artery pressure (MAP) is 0,000<0,05 meaning Ho is refused. Conclusion: The Audio Imager Music can be used to intervene to the pain of nonpharmacology, especially pot-surgery patients Key words: Audio recorder, guided imagery music, pain level, and post-surgery
