Abstract

ABSTRACT Agustin, Intan, 2018. “Ecranitation from comic Koe no Katachi volume 1-7 by Yoshitoki Oima into Anime Koe no Katachi director by Naoko Yamada.” Thesis Japanese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Consultant: Yuliani Rahmah, S.Pd., M.Hum. The purpose of this research is to analyse ecranitation process from comic Koe no Katachi into anime with the same title. The method that used in this research is qualitative descriptive method with literature study. Theories that used are theory of stucturalism and theory of ecranitation. Theory of sturcturalism used to analyse intrinsic elements of comic and theory of ecranitation used to analyse ecranitation process from comic into anime. Based on the result of this research, it is known that there are several changes during the process of ecranitation from comic into anime in the structure of comic’s builder. Several changes occurred in contraction, addition, and modification. Contraction occurred in characters, plot, social and time setting. Addition occurred in circumstances setting. Whereas, modification had been varying in plot. The conclusion of this research is the ecranitation process occurred in addition and adjustment from two different types of literature works. The works whose ecranitation process can be different with the original work because there is difference interpretation from different people. Keywords : Ecranitation ; Comic ; Anime ; Koe no Katachi.
