ANALISIS KINERJA INDUSTRI PULP DAN KERTAS DI INDONESIA 2010-2014

Abstract

This research employs the Structure-Conduct-Performance (SCP) paradigm to analyze the structure, conduct, and performance of pulp and paper industry in Indonesia during the 2010-2014 period. The concentration ratio of the four largest companies (CR4) and minimum efficiency of scale (MES) used as an indicator of the market structure of the pulp and paper industry. While the performance of pulp and paper industry seen from price cost margin (PCM), internal efficiency (XEFF) and output growth (Growth). This research uses panel data to see the effect of concentration ratio, barrier to entry (MES), internal efficiency, and output growth on price cost margin. Using random effect model (REM), the results of this research shows that internal efficiency has a positive significant effect on the price cost margin of the pulp and paper industry. While concentration ratio, barrier to entry, and output growth do not have a significant effect on the price cost margin of the pulp and paper industry.
