Pengaruh Kompetensi Komunikasi Trainer Pertanian Organik terhadap Kognisi Petani Mengenai Sistem Pertanian Organik.

Abstract

2005, organic farming is becoming a trend in Indonesia. Awareness of the dangers posed by the use of synthetic chemicals in agriculture makes organic farming attract attention at both producer and consumer levels. The government has sought to support the development of organic agriculture by launching the Go Organic Program 2010 in 2008. The mission of this program is for the development of eco-agribusiness with the aim of improving food security and social welfare. Therefore, the Trainer needs for farmers is needed in the declaration of the organic farming system. Trainers are parties directly related to farmers. However, due to low commitment, the program is far from being achieved, it can even be said to have failed. This is based on the spread and its adoption is still slow because the majority of farmers are less understanding and less interested in practising organic agriculture. This study aims to determine how much influence the communication competence of trainer to the knowledge of farmers about the organic farming system. The theory used is an Aristotelian rhetorical theory. The population used is farmers who have received training on the organic farming system from the Department of Agriculture and Plantation of Central Java Province. While the sample was taken is 30 people with cluster sampling technique. Based on regression analysis test on communication competence of organic farmer trainer variable (X) and farmer's cognition about the organic farming system (Y), the regression coefficient determination value was obtained 89,5% with the significance equal to Sig value. = 0,000 which means > significant criterion (0,05). Thus the model of regression equation influence X variable to variable Y is very high and significance between variables based on research data is very significant. Then it shows that there is a strong influence between Competence of Organic Agriculture Trainer Communication (X) to Farmer's Cognition on Organic Farming System (Y). the higher the communication competence of the trainer, the higher the farmer's cognition of the organic farming system. Suggested trainers improve the ability to use audiovisuals so that the results achieved better than now.
