Abstract

Indonesia is a democracy where everyone is free to argue. The General Election Commission of Central Java Province as the institution that organizes the election of numum in Indonesia has a very strategic role in supporting the increasing of political participation of Indonesian society with socialization activity through Joglo House Elections Communication media. This study aims to describe the strategy of political education, especially voter education conducted by the Technical Sub-Division and Hupmas (Community Participation Relations) of Central Java Provincial KPU to the community. KPU of Central Java Province to the community.The method used is qualitative descriptive with in-depth interview technique to resource persons using interview guide. The activities undertaken Subbag Technical & Hupmas KPU of Central Java Province in the strategy of political education through communication media Joglo House Elections in the General Election Commission of Central Java Province refers to the four stages. The first stage is to collect data or research through SWOT and PEST analysis before doing the action, then the second phase is to do planning, such as socialization implementation, target of RJP visitors, and media used for socialization RJP. Then the third stage is to communicate (communications) to convey messages / information to visitors or the public during RJP socialization activities. Communication is used more to interactive, persuasive and communicative, the last stage of the fourth is to evaluate (evaluation) of socialization activities that have been implemented based on three indicators namely, constraints or barriers, evaluation process and results,and success indicators to be able to know the extent of success rate From various communication strategies undertaken.
