Abstract

Title Name NIM Major : ::: Procedures of Promotion in the Department of Agriculture and Forestry Plantations ofSemarang Regency Yunadya Windar Mahetik 14020413060013 Diploma III Office Administration This study aims to describe the procedure for promotion in the Department of agriculture and forestry plantations of Semarang Regency, and identify some factors that affect the promotion procedure. Research using qualitative methods, that describes an event or object that is associated with the variables that can be described with numbers or words. Subjects in the study include the employees in the civil servant at Sub Division of Public and Staffing Department of Agriculture and Forestry Plantations of Semarang Regency. To collecting data in this study using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Based on the research results can be known that promotion procedures in the Department of agriculture and forestry Plantations of Semarang Regency includes 7 stages, there were 1) Shipping Listing Promotion to each SKPD; 2) collecting files of PNSD that required; 3) Verification files of PNSD by Sub Division of Public and Staffing Department; 4) deliverring files from Sub Division of Public and Staffing Department to BKD; 5) Data Input PNSD concerned by BKD; 6) Shipping files from BKD to BKN; 7) Publishing SK Promotion by BKD. In practice, there are several factors which impede the promotion procedures in the Department of agriculture and forestry plantations of Semarang Regency, such as the file of PNSD that incomplete or was not appropriate. Based on the foregoing, the author draws the conclusion about the factors that drive the promotion procedureis a good communication between PNSD and the responsible officials in handling procedures of promotion.
