Abstract

Discipline is one element of assessment to measure the performance of an employee. Discipline needs to regulate group action, where each member must control his impulse to work together for the common good. the implementation of the discipline is grouped into three indicators of discipline of work, namely the discipline of time, discipline and discipline discipline of responsibility. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of work discipline of employees in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service of Central Java Province. The research used in this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. The author uses the type of qualitative research because the author wants to illustrate how the discipline of work in Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service of Central Java Province. The research was conducted by interview, observation and documentation. Based on the research findings in the field, most of the employees in Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service of Central Java Province have implemented work discipline in accordance with the applicable rules. But unfortunately, there are some employees who show less discipline in work. This is seen from the implementation of work that ignores the work procedures or not in accordance with applicable procedures. The existence of the disciplinary behavior of some employees caused the disruption of the work system that hampered the process of achieving the objectives of Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service of Central Java Province. Suggestions that can be given author for the Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service of Central Java Province is to increase the credibility of employees who still commit violations by giving strict sanctions. The sanction aims to create a deterrent effect to the employee concerned so as not to repeat the same mistake.
