Abstract
Promotion is very important necessary for Civil Servants, because it can provide encouragement or morale for employees in doing activities or office work to reward employees' services to the agency. The purpose of this study is to Describe the procedure of promotion of civil servants in KPPN Semarang II and identify the obstacles faced in the promotion process in KPPN Semarang II. This research uses qualitative research method. The result of the research, the promotion procedure in KPPN Semarang II is still manual and not yet using online system. In the implementation, there are still some problems that occur so slightly disrupt the proposed promotion activities in the personnel department of the Semarang II KPPN. The problem is, the monitoring is still manual, there are still files that are missing when in Kanwil, and the legalized files are too many. Suggestions that can be given include, suggestion to the DJPBN Regional Office to be added database in the internal application of proposed promotion, and added employees to help legalize the file.
