Abstract

Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) is the oldest radio owned by the government that has a vision to realize the Indonesian public broadcasting institutions. RRI as the nation's character building radio, world class has a very wide network from Aceh hinga Papua. However, there are still many young people who do not know Radio Republik Indonesia. The number of private radios emerging at this time makes the popularity of RRI is reduced. The main reason is the image of RRI as an outdated news radio, and contains only news that is so for young people who are thirsty for entertainment and the latest things RRI radio less interesting to note One solution is to re-concept or re-create the talk show program "Jateng Pagi" with a new concept. The writer as a producer in the event "Central Java Morning" is conceptualized "Central Java Morning" by involving students as resource persons in this program and targeting young people as the target audience, so it is expected to re-increase radio listeners, especially RRI PRO 1 Semarang. During the program's execution, the writer as the producer determined the theme and handled the informant's determination and connected with the RRI broadcasters to consult. The results of the post-production questionnaire showed through the production of "Jateng Pagi" talk show program, the field work team succeeded in increasing the number of listeners of "Jateng Pagi" RRI PRO 1 Semarang program to 81 listeners. Similarly, active listeners, each episode only 3 people, with the new concept now "Central Java" managed to increase 8 to 19 active listeners in each episode.
