Abstract

ABSTRACT Irawan, Dwi. 2017. “Nura Rikuo’s Dissociative Identity Disorder In japanese Animation Movie Nurarihyon no Mago” A thesis of Japanese Department, Diponegoro University, Semarang. Advisor Zaki Ainul Fadli, S.S.M.Hum. The object of this study are two sessions of japanese animation movie (Anime) entitled Nurarihyon No Mago. The method of data collection is library research. This study uses theories of characterization approach, Dissociative Identity disorder and psychoanalysis. This thesis discusses Nura Rikuo’s multiple identity in anime Nurarihyon no Mago. The result of this study reveals that rikuo has two opposite identities. The main identity of rikuo has childish carracter, and the alter has more brave and wise carracter. Main factor that cause this disorder is terrible childhood’s trauma. These trauma leads rikuo to do his natural instinc, to run (dissociate).
