Abstract

Essential oils are known as fly oils, etheric oils or "essential oil", volatile oil. Turmeric (Curcuma domastica Val.) Is a quasi-trunked plant set up by the leaf midrib. High trunk between 40 to 60 cm, there also reached 1 meter size of chopped turmeric treatment provides significant effect on yield. Cutting 1 cm give the highest yield, while the rest of the processed pulp still contains turmeric essential oil with oil extraction is not too much. Long treatment distillery gives a significant effect on yield. The longer refining (6 hours), resulting in a yield of volatile oil which is 0.0517% higher. The highest yield of turmeric essential oil obtained by 0.0517% with chopped size 1cm condition and old distillery 6 hours, and the yield was lowest for the saffron dregs refining as much as 0.0215% with the old distillery 1 hour.
