Abstract
This study is aimed to reveal the phenomenon of sundanese in lexical variation and phonological differences in Banjarharjo District which located in borders area between Kuningan and Brebes. The qualitative approach is applied and chosen methods of data collection are observation and structured interview. In Banjarharjo district, there are 26 villages, but this study carry out only 8 villages. It will be selected based on the main geographically district in Banjarharjo. In west district, the researches choose Penaggapan and Cipajang villages that located near with Cibingbin which is a border between Kuningan and Brebes. Malahayu, Bandungsari and Sindangheula are the representative of central areas of Banjarharjo. Then, Banjarharjo, Parireja, and Banjarlor will be chosen to be representative of east area of Banjarharjo. As a result, the author obtains 144 lexicons classify into 44 word’s group which compare with common Sundanese words or Sundanese Luluguandthose lexiconsare divided into a part of speech such as noun, verb, adjective and adverb based on the meaning and function each words. The findings are expected to show the dialect dissemination using in the society and to be references for governor of Brebes in allowing sundanese as local lesson of language in Banjarharjo.
