Although it is not dangerous, AV has big effects to physical and psychological. It needs proper and fast treatment to improve the prognosis of patients. Sulphur soap as keratolytics and antimicrobes are used to be a treatment of AV. Aim To prove the effect of sulphur soap administration on total lesions of acne vulgaris Methods The study was experimental study with Randomized Controlled Trial Design. The samples were 40 subjects consists of 20 subjects in control group and 20 subjects in treatment group. The control group was given topical tretinoin 0,025% and sunblock SPF 15, while the treatment group was given topical tretinoin 0,025%, sunblock SPF 15, and sulphur soap. Counting the lesions on the first day (pre test) then after subjects were given the treatments as their groups in 4 weeks, counting the post lesions of AV. Analysis data used Paired T-test and Independent T-test. Results The mean of pre total lesions of AV in control group was 64,80 and 53,90 in treatment group. The mean of post total lesions of AV in control group was 55,35 and 38,15 in treatment group. The Paired T-test showed that there were not significant differences in control group pre and post total lesions (p=0,060) and it showed significant differences in treatment group pre and post total lesions (p=0,017). The Independent T-test showed that the difference of AV total lesions were significant (p=0,012). Conclusion Sulphur soap administration decreases total lesions of acne vulgaris Key Words Sulphur soap, Acne vulgaris, AV
