Abstract

Centrifuge is a device used to separate a solution with a different molecular weight by centrifugal force driven by a motor, which spins liquid samples at high speed. Using the principle of centrifugal separation where the object is rotated horizontally at a certain distance. If the object rotates in a tube or a cylinder containing a mixture of liquid and particles, then the mixture can move toward the center of rotation, but this should not occur because of the opposing forces were moving towards the outside wall of the cylinder or tube corresponding density of each particle, the style is the style of centrifugation. The materials used in this lab is coconut in coconut milk extraction becomes, the variable used is pure coconut milk and coconut milk was added starter rhizopus oligosporus, variable rotational speed used is 1700rpm, 2100rpm, 2500rpm, 2900rpm and 3300 rpm. While variable time spent 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 7 minutes, 9 minutes and 12 minutes. oil volume results in a maximum variable which is 12 minutes at 3300 rpm rotation showed more oil voulome 28.58% at variable coconut milk that has been formulated rhizopus oligosporus. The things that affect the results of the lab is the accuracy at the time of the separation of oil from three sediment that is, oil, kanil (coconut cream) and water.
