CORPORATE GOVERNANCE, MANAJEMEN LABA, LEVERAGE DAN NILAI PERUSAHAAN; STUDI EMPIRIS PADA PERUSAHAAN MANUFAKTUR YANG TERDAFTAR DI BEI TAHUN 2010 - 2013

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of the study were to investigate the relationship betweencorporate governance (Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership and Audit Committee) and earnings management, corporate governance, leverage and value of the firmand wheter earning management was the intervening variable between cosporate governance and value of the firm. By using 34 samplesfrom manufacture industry in Bursa Efek Indonesia in the periode 2010-2013 and 91 observations, the result indicated that first, institutional ownership and manajerial ownership negatively influenced earning management. Second,institutional ownership, earning management and leverage positively influenced value of the firm. Finally, the result indicated that earning management was not the intervening variable between cosporate governance mechanism and value of the firm.
