Abstract
Raw materials used in this lab is the result of refining the oil of ginger essential oil of ginger in Ungaran, using water and steam distillation method. At this lab using adsorption method, using the bentonite as adsorbent by means of Hot plate magnetic stirrer. Selection of bentonite as adsorbent because bentonite has the ability to mengadsorb camphene compounds. With reduced levels of camphene in ginger oil, then zingiberene levels will increase. Based on practice is known that the higher the temperature the faster the adsorption process camphene be absorbed by the bentonite compound, so that the levels rise faster zingiberene. While the longer it adsorbs the more compounds that camphene be absorbed by the bentonite so zingiberene levels will increase. Difference variables such as temperature and time of adsorption adsorbs very influential on lab results. This variable distinction serves to be able to determine the optimum operating condition in ginger oil adsorption process with bentonit.Faktor the factors that influence the process adsrobi is the temperature, time, stirring speed, absorbent surface area and concentration of the adsorbate.
