Abstract

Spectrophotometer is an instrument to measure or absorban that has the samples as a function of wavelength and measurement of a samples at a wavelength particular. One of the spectrophotometer working principle is based the phenomenon of absorption of light by certain species in the ultraviolet and visible light (visible). Raw materials used in this praktical is skin white dragon fruit. The white dragon fruit is a fruit with skin that have high levels of anthocyanin pigments are quite high. Anthocyanins are flavonoid pigments are soluble in water. The colors red, blue, purple in fruit and crops caused by color pigment anthocyanin. In this study, three variables were observed by using distilled water, acetic acid and citric acid as a solvent with a sample volume of 20ml, 40ml and 60ml. Produce anthocyanin levels in the samples were extracted using distilled water levels obtained 0,77mg; 2,47mg and 2,77mg In the sample extracted using citric acid levels obtained 0,87mg; 2,26mg and 2,87mg. While the sample is dissolved by using acetic acid obtained anthocyanin content of 0,838mg; 2,32mg and 2,84mg. Comparison of the solvent resulted in higher anthocyanin.The things that affect the results of practicum is the cuvette hygiene as it can cause errors in the reading of absorbance and transmittance.
