Abstract

Colomadu Sugar Refinery is one of the five sugar refineries owned by PT. Perkebunan Negara Daerah Operasional IX that is no longer operating from a total of 13 refineries that this company owns. In order to support and preserve the potency and the sustainability of the Colomadu Sugar Refiner, a conservatory act is needed by revitalizing the existing building that could be functioned as a museum and adding a new commercial function such as a street mall and a residential building such as a transit hotel. Along with the civilization development, the Karanganyar District Government, together with PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IX plan to revitalize the Colomadu Sugar Refinery building into a museum, hotel, and a shopping center.
