Abstract

Taman Puring Muhammadiyah Hospital has a fairly good and adequate service quality, this is proven by the number of the inpatient and the outpatient that have been increasing for every passing year. But, Taman Puring Muhammadiyah Hospital has some troubles in its building design, such as the lack of natural lighting in some rooms, the buildings layout disorder caused by the transformation and changes over the years, and the inefficiency of the space/room layout. With the increasing service that has to be given to the people in the future, of course Taman Puring Muhammadiyah Hospital has to consider some aspects such as the fuction aspect and even the investment aspect. This has to be done so the hospital could keep doing the appropriate service relating to the medical service standards, nursing, and paramedic profesionally. Other than that, the aesthetic value of a hospital is needed too in order to determine the image of a hospital. For a hospital, physical appearance is important as it determines the the comfort and trust of the people to the services that the hospital provides. The application of the Green Architecture to the hospital is hoped to reach those aspects.
