HUBUNGAN ANTARA TEKANAN DARAH PASIEN DENGAN JENIS STROKE DI RUANG RAWAT INTENSIF RSUP DR. KARIADI SEMARANG

Abstract

Background : Stroke has a high mortality rate as the third disease that cause death in the world. High blood pressure is the highest risk factor for stroke. Aim : To analyze the relationship between blood pressure with type of stroke in the intensive care unit RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang. Methods : This research was an analytic observational study using cross sectional design. The data were collected from medical records of patient that treated in the intensive care unit RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang from January to June 2014. There were 34 patients with inclusion criterias. The data were analyzed using Chi-square test. Results : Thirty-four patients were included. There were 26 patients with hemorrhagic stroke (76.5%) and 8 patients with non-hemorrhagic stroke (23.5%). Based on hemorrhagic stroke, there were 8 patients (30,8%) with normal blood pressure, 5 patients (19,2%) with prehypertension, 1 patients (3,8%) with hypertension stage 1 and 12 patients (46,2%) with hypertension stage 2. Based on non-hemorrhagic stroke, there were 3 patients (37,5%) with normal blood pressure, 1 patients (12,5%) with prehypertension, 2 patients (25%) with hypertension stage 1 and 2 patients (25%) with hypertension stage 2. Chi-square test showed that there was no a significant relationship between blood pressure with type of stroke (p = 0.285). Conclusions : There is no a significant relationship between blood pressure with type of stroke in the intensive care unit RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang.
