Abstract

Making Biodiesel based on the ratio of the volume of bait in the form of oil and methanol in the presence of the alkaline NaOH. The ratio used is the ratio of volume of oil and methanol in the ratio 1: 3; 1: 3.5 and 1: 4. Goal of the influence of the feed volume ratio to determine the quantity and quality of the products most optimum ratio of the volume of bait used. The tools used in the manufacture of biodiesel is a reactive distillation. Reactive distillation is a tool that combines the distillation and reaction in a single column unit. In the manufacture of biodiesel used 3 variables each process is carried out for 6 minutes at a temperature of 65 ˚ C. After 6 minutes the product under taken and separated by glycerol thus obtained only biodiesel product. After testing analysis on biodiesel, biodiesel obtained from each variable of 1480 ml, 1590 ml and 1630 ml. Biodiesel produced each variable yield as much as 100%, density of 0.82 g / ml; 0.81 g / ml and 0.80 g / ml. Viscosity of 11.88 cp; 10.75 and 10.45 cp cp. From these data the most good quality biodiesel is the first variable (1: 3), due to too high when viewed from the fire on the first variable produces the highest flame flame of the other variables.
