Abstract
Kata kunci : Relaksasi, Kompres dingin, Intensitas nyeri persalinan Introductions: Pain was an integral part of the childbirth. Tackling of childbirth pain was needed to break the cycle of pain with all of the consequences that arising. Handling pain of non-pharmacology more preferred because it was cheap, safe, can be done by the family . Objective: Want to find out the effectiveness of innner breathing relaxation added cold compress compared innner breathing relaxation to the decrease of pain childbirth I active phase period . Methods: Quasi experimental design. The instrument of the research was kirbat ice, cold jellies bags and a scale 0-10 Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: The intensity of pain in the control group before treatment over half (53.33%) the mother maternity suffered severe pain and after treatment most (66.66%) the mother maternity suffered medium pain. In the intervention group before the tratment over half (53,33%%) the mother maternity suffered medium pain, after doing a most (86,67%) the mother maternity suffered middle pain. The result T test paired with CI is 95% obtained there were significant difference of pain intensity before and after treatment between the good control group in spite of the intervention group (the value p= 0.000. The results of Mann-Whitney test obtained inner breath relaxation added cold compresses more effectively reduce intensity of maternal I active phase period pain compared relaxation inner breath (the value p = 0.002). Conclusions: Health department and professional organization can help socialized the results of research based on this evidence to health workers, especially to midwives through scientific meetings or seminars and for midwives to applied this non-pharrmacology pain management help reduced pain in childbirth. Keywords : Relaxation, Cold compress, the intensity of childbirth pain.
