Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara beriklim tropis yang terdiri dari musim hujan dan musim panas, pada saat musim panas suhu ruangan tinggi sehingga penghuni tidak nyaman. Untuk menciptakan kondisi yang nyaman maka perlu dipasang pendingin ruangan ( AC ). Pada tugas akhir ini penulis merencanakan perhitungan beban pendinginan pada ruang pengajaran umum, unit AC yang digunakan adalah jenis AC Split. Untuk dapat menghasilkan udara dengan kondisi yang diinginkan, maka peralatan yang dipasang harus mempunyai kapasitas yang sesuai dengan beban pendinginan yang dimiliki ruangan tersebut. Untuk itu diperlukan survey dan perhitungan untuk menentukan beban pendinginan. Proses perencanaan perhitungan beban pendinginan dimulai dengan merencanakan suhu udara di dalam ruang pengajaran umum. Dengan desain suhu 26oC dan RH 50% didapatkan hasil perhitungan beban pendinginan total sebesar 6159 Btu/hr, sehingga pada ruang pengajaran umum harus dipasang 1 unit AC dengan daya AC 1 PK. Indonesia is a tropical country consisting of rainy and summer season, during the summer high temperature of the room so that the occupants uncomfortable. To create favorable conditions it is necessary to set air-conditioning ( AC ). At this final plan writer cooling load calculation on general teaching space, air conditioning unit that is used is a type of AC Split. To be able to produce the desired air conditions, the equipment installed must have a capacity corresponding to the cooling load of the room possessed. It required surveys and calculations to determine the cooling load. The planning process begins with a cooling load calculation of air temperature inside the planned general teaching space. With a design temperature of 26°C and RH 50% showed the total cooling load calculation of 6159 Btu / hr So the general teaching space should be installed 1 unit with AC power AC 1 PK.
