Abstract

Total patients visitation at out-patient polyclinic RSUD Tugurejo Semarang is influenced by the performance of its Medical Personnel. It is noted that to improve the performance, we need to know satisfaction level of performance and the influential factors on it, such as, maintenance and motivation factors. The aim of this research was to examine influential factors on performances satisfaction of the medical personnel at polyclinic out-patient departement RSUD Tugurejo Semarang, 2004. It was classified as an observational research. It was using survey method with cross sectional approach. It’s carried out by questionair instruments to 20 respondents medical personnel at out-patient polyclinic RSUD Tugurejo Semarang. The data wewr collected and analyzed by chi square test and logistics binary regression with enter method the signification determined by p value < 0,05. Data were analyzed by SPSS program. After we obtained the quantitative result, then, we interview the managers and analysis the data in content analysis. The result shows that influential factors on performances satisfaction of medical personnel at out-patient polyclinic RSUD Tugurejo Semarang ara salary (p value 0,02), leadership (p value 0,028), relationship to their colleagues (p value 0,002), working environments situation (p value 0,009), work it self (p value 0,028) and chance of promotion (p value 0,035). We need an alteration on incentive management system and compensation receivable by medical personnel. Those change are : decisions made are implemented by all sides, both employees and hospital management, based on an agreement reached in order to avoid a misunderstanding. The leader may take the involvement of medical personnel in making managerial decision of out-patient service; leader may hand over their managerial authority to the medical personnel in performing their job. There should be a response and feedback on criticism, suggestion and opinion of medical personnel. The leader must be an example of words and actions. There also should be a two way communication between the leader and employee. There must be a restraint performance team and quality evaluation of out-patient service. Working culture must be formed. The sum and quality of means and infrastructure must be increased. Clealiness at put-patient polyclinic must be improved. There must be bonus, rolling of medical personnel at polyclinic and treatment ward. A number of fund must be available to the personnel to continue their education and seminar.
