Abstract
ABSTRACT Conservation areas, including the Grojogan Sewu Nature Park, is a national development capital that has real benefits for the lives and livelihood of the nation, whether ecological, social, cultural or economic, in a balanced and dynamic. As an eco-tourism site, TWA Grojogan Sewu has provided many benefits to the government and local economic. But in the end, a nature tourism activities have tended to be a mass tourist activities.Therefore, efforts should be made to optimize in order to remain sustainable of this mass type. This study aims to determine the carrying capacity of the natural attractions that are based on the optimal number of visitors to the area and the efforts to optimize it. The method used is an effective assessment of the carrying capacity developed by Cifuentes and assessment of the perceptions of tour players (travelers and travel service and travel facilities providers) to the nature tourism activities in the TWA Grojogan Sewu. Then performed a SWOT analysis to assess the potential and development. Assessment results show that the effective carrying capacity of nature is the 1002 tourists per day higher than the actual carrying capacity (926 travelers per day). Travelers get satisfaction traveled (95%) and want to get back touring in the TWA (92%). The results showed that the SWOT analysis in order to optimize the carrying capacity and the benefits of nature tourism is a creative product and services tourism development.
