HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEKUATAN DAN KESULITAN ANAK (MENTAL-EMOSIONAL) DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA

Abstract

Background: Children is the new generation of government that needed a special attention from many people but today it had been not enough that will distrurb a children development. And it caused many difficulties to the children. This Difficulties could be given bad effect to the children because it will become a children learning achievement less than usual Objective: This study aimed to prove whether there is a relationship between strengths and difficulties(mental emotional) to `students achievement learning at school among children. Method: The study was a correlational research with cross sectional approach. Strengths, difficulties was measured by scores on the questionnaire, and student learn achievement. The sample was 39 respondents which are Al Madina Islamic primary’school students in Sampangan, Semarang City, that met the inclusion criteria. The selection of respondents using simple random sampling. Research data were analyzed using Chi- Square test. Results: The results of analysis showed a not significant correlation between the difficulties on child with student achievement learning. with p = 0,264 and a significant correlation between the strengths with student achievement learning with p=0,045 . Conclusion: There is not significant relationship between the difficulities on children with student achievement learning and significant relationship between the strengths on children with student achievement learning.
