Abstract

Kekuatan tekan merupakan salah satu kinerja utama beton. Di dalam mengevaluasi kekuatan beton, compression test menjadi standar untuk mengetahui kualitas suatu struktur secara keseluruhan. Pada kenyataannya, ada waktu dimana dibutuhkan pengujian secara langsung pada struktur di lapangan. Misalnya ketika nilai hasil compression test benda uji di laboratorium tidak mencapai kuat tekan yang direncanakan. Sesuai peraturan, maka sampel core harus diambil dari struktur tersebut dan diuji tekan di laboratorium. Sampel core sendiri tidak bisa diambil secara massive pada suatu struktur yang diamati. Oleh karena itu, untuk penyeragaman atau evaluasi terhadap beton yang tidak dicore dari struktur tersebut dibutuhkan metode non destructive test (NDT). Metode NDT sangatlah bervariasi di dalam sistem kerja maupun alat yang digunakan untuk uji kekuatan beton. Pada penelitian ini metode NDT yang digunakan adalah rebound hammer atau biasa disebut hammer test. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada empat kelompok umur 14, 21, 28, 56 hari dengan sampel berjumlah 8 silinder dan 2 balok (tiap balok diambil 4 sampel core) untuk masing-masing umur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menemukan grafik korelasi nilai rebound (hammer test) dengan kuat tekan (compression test). Studi ini membuktikan bahwa hammer test yang dilakukan dengan alat hammer digital sudah menghasilkan kuat tekan yang mendekati kuat tekan sesungguhnya dari alat compression test. Sehingga bisa dikatakan bahwa Hammer digital ini sudah jauh lebih baik daripada pendahulunya, yaitu hammer manual atau analog. When evaluating compression strength, compression test becomes standard to investigate the quality of overall structure. In practice, it sometimes becomes necessary to obtain the concrete compression strength directly from the structures. For example, when result from compression test not achieve the compression strength plans. As mandated by the code, core samples may be taken from the structure, and tested at the laboratory. The core itself cannot be taken massively from the inspected structure. Therefore, to unification or evaluating concrete that not coring from the structure needed non destructive test method (NDT). NDT methods are very vary in work system and tool that been used to test concrete strength. In this research, NDT method that been used is rebound hammer or usually call hammer test. Data are collecting from four age group 14, 21, 28, 56 days with total sample 8 silinder and 2 slab (4 core sample taken from each slab) for each age. The purpose of this research is to gaining correlation of rebound value (hammer test) with compressive strength (compression test) curves. This research proves that hammer test doing by digital hammer gives a very close approximation to the real concrete compressive strength from compression test. The digital hammer is therefore no doubt a great improvement from it’s former, manual or analogue hammer. Keywords : compressive strength, NDT method, compression test, hammer test, core.
