Abstract
Pengendapan perak secara elektrolisis tanpa menggunakan pengomplek telah banyak dilakukan. Elektrolisis tersebut menghasilkan endapan perak dengan kualitas yang relatif rendah. Endapan cenderung berwarna kecoklatan dan tidak mempunyai kekuatan pcnempelan yang baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kuat anus terhadap endapan perak yang didapatkan pada lempeng tembaga. Proses elektrolisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan larutan AgNO3, KCN, dan Na2CO3 sebagai larutan elektrolit. Batang karbon clitempatkan sebagai anoda dan lempeng tembaga sebagai katoda dengan potensial terpasang 3 volt, jarak elektroda 1,5 cm , waktu elektrolisis selama 1 jam. Kuat anus divariasi 1-10 mA dengan interval 1 mA. Parameter yang diuji adalah berat endapan, warna endapan dan kekuatan endapan. Endapan yang paling kuat terjadi pada penggunaan kuat arcs 3 mA, sedangkan warna yang bagus terjadi pada penggunaan kuat anus 1-3 mA. Endapan mempunyai kemumian rata-rata sebesar 98,15 %. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar kuat anus maka berat endapan semakin meningkat. Electrodeposotion of silver with no effect of complexing agent in solutions had been done. The process result in brownish-white and strongless deposits. The purpose of this experiment is to know the, effect of current on silver deposited on copper electrode. For this purpose, AgNO3, KCN and Na2CO3 added as electrolyte solutions.. The process was conducted at 3 volts of potential, carbon used as anode, copper as catode in current variation to know its influence toward silver deposits. The two electrode was separated 1,5 cm length with electrolysis time of 1 hour. Variation in curren effect the metal deposited that controlled between 1-10 mA with I mA increasingly. The effect is known by weight of the deposit, colour and its strengthness. The strongest silver deposit was got at 3 mA, in which good appearance was got at 1-3 mA.
