Abstract

Telah dilakukan isolasi dan uji aktivitas dengan metode Brine Shrimp Lethality terhadap kandungan senyawa fenolik dari bush Momordica charantia, Linn (pare hutan). Isolasi dilakukan dengan ekstraksi menggunakan pelarut metanol secara perkolasi. Crude eksfrak yang diperoleh selanjutnya diekstraksi dengan pelarut n¬heksan Dari fraksi n-heksan diperoleh kristal putih dengan titik leleh 177-178°C. Analisa menunjukkan bahwa kristal hasil isolasi mempunyai seiapan rnaksimum pada X 221 dan 271 run, mengandung gugus-gugus OH, C-H spa, C-H sp2, CO-- dan C-X sertamempunyai berat molekul 464. Berdasarkan hasil analisa fisiko-kimia tersebut dan melalui pendekatan kemotaksonomi diusulkan bahwa kristal hasil isolasi adalah demeklosiklin, senyawa golongan fenolik, yang melalui metode Brine Shrimp Lethality diusulkan bersifat sebagai pestisida dengan harga 1.650 590,9933 ppmIsolation and activity test by Brine Shrimp Lethality of phenolic compound contained in fruit of Momordica charantia, Linn (bitter melon) has been carried out. Isolation was done using extraction with methanol as solvent by percolation methode. The crude was then extracted with n-hexane as solvent. From n-hexane fraction, a white crystal with a melting point 177-178°C was obtained. Fisico¬chemistry analysis showed that the crystal has absorption at A. 221 and 271 nm, contains OH, C-H spa, C-H sp2, C=0 and C-X groups and has molecul weight of 464. Base on fisico-chemistry analysis and chemotaxonomie approach, it was proposed that the crystal from isolation be demeclocycline, a phenolic compound, that with. Brine Shrimp Lethality Test was known as pesticide with L050 value of 590,9933 ppm.
