Abstract

Adsorption of Organik Sulfur Compound as impurutis in Kerosin by Activated Carbon has been done, with weight varieties of Activated Carbon accounted for 20, 50, 150, 170, 200, 210 grams and residence time varieties of adsorption was 20, 30, 40, 70, 80, 90 minutes. Analysis of Kerosin which has been treated indicated that the best vault was Activated Carbon of 150 grams and residence time of adsorption 70 minutes with total Sulfur content 0.023 % weight, Saybolt Colour analysis was + 30 and Iod Number of Activated Carbon which has been used for adsorption was 872. Activated Carbon can be used to adsorbed the Organik Sulfur Compound as impuritis in Kerosin. By this way the quality of Kerosin will be increased.
