Abstract
Telah dilakukan kajian perbandingan populasi para-nitrogen dan ortho¬nitrogen pada keadaan mendekati suhu mutlak 0 K. Perhitungan populasi dilakukan dengan rnengganakan distribusi Boltzmann. Telah diperoleh persamaan populasi molekul para-nitrogen dan ortho¬nitrogen, perbandingan populasi para-nitrogen dengan ortho-nitrogen serta persamaan hasil pendekatan untuk suhu tinggi dan rendah. Hasil perhitungan memperlihatkan bahwa perbandingan populasi para¬nitrogen dan ortho-nitrogen adalah 2 : I. pada suhu tinggi, sedangkan dari fiendekatan suhu mendekati 0 K menyatakan bahwa seluruh molekul nitrogen adalah berbentuk para-nitrogen. Kata Kunci : Molekul diatomik, populasi para dan ortho The describe of para-nitrogen and ortho-nitrogen population ratio at the T 4 K have been done. The calculation of population has been performed in the Boltzmann distribution. The population of para-nitrogen and ortho-nitrogen molecules, population ratio of para-nitrogen with ortho-nitrogen, and equation of themperature approximation result have been determined. The calculation result shows that the population ratio of para-nitrogen and artho-nitrogen is 2 :1 at the high themperature, and the Nitrogen molecules are all in the form of para-nitrogen at T 0 K.
