UPAYA BIRO HUMAS SEKRETARIAT DAERAH PROVINSI JAWA TENGAH DALAM MENJALIN HUBUNGAN BAIK DENGAN MEDIA

Abstract

Secretariat of the Province of Central Java is a government agency that is the center of policy in Central Java. Secretariat of the Province of Central Java itself requires a positive image of the public to gain support from the public including the media, for media relations activities that are needed. This is the task of Public Relations of the Secretariat of Central Java Province who where to build and maintain a positive image of the Secretariat of Central Java Province. Media relations is the communication activity of public relations / public relations to establish understanding and good relations with mass media organizations in order to achieve maximum publicity and balanced. (Wardhani, 2008:9). The purpose of this study was to describe the efforts the Public Relations of the Secretariat of the Central Java Regional Proivinsi in establishing good relations with the media. This type of research used in this study is a descriptive approach to data collection techniques in the form of indepth interviews with informants guided interview guide with the Head of Public Relations of the Regional Secretariat of Central Java Province, Head of Publications and Publishing Public Relations of the Regional Secretariat of Central Java Province and the mass media journalists. Public Relations Efforts Regional Secretariat of Central Java Province in establishing good relations with the media that is by doing activities such as media relations, press releases, press conferences, and press luncheon. Besides openness between them is an important key in fostering good relations between them. Public Relations of the Regional Secretariat of Central Java province also conduct evaluations continue to control the program being executed. The relationship between the Secretariat of the Province of Central Java with the media has been well maintained. It is obtained from the interview on both sides of the Secretariat of Central Java Province and the media are revealed during the relationship is good and there is no conflict. The author expects the of Public Relations of the Secretariat of Central Java Province further enhance informal activities with the media to again tighten the relationship between the Public Relations of the Secretariat of Central Java Province with the media.
