Abstract

Nurse employees of the public Health center in the important role for giving cured and health service for patients and the outside activities of Public Health service, for this reason nurses are demanded to be able to do the task professionally. Professionalism can increase the quality and satisfaction work. This research purpose is able to know the effect of nurse's charactedstic and job condition to satisfaction work in the public health center non treatment in Pati Regency. This research is explorative. All research population are 179 nurses who work in the public health center, the sample of research is stated purposively by criteria's work in the non treatment public health center and Voccasional health school in totality 125 nurses. A dependent variable is nurse's characteristic (age and length of job) and job condifion involves situation work, supervision, salary/insentivity, work friends/partners, promotion. An independent variable is work satisfaction. Data are analyzed by Pearson correlation statististics test and double regretion by 95 % (p = 0,05) significant indicator. Research result shows that there is relation between the respondent's age and work satisfaction (p=0,002) significanly and the five of work condition variable there is relation with work satisfaction (work situation p=0,000, promotion p=0,000, salary/insentivity p=0,007, supervision p=0,01, work friends/partners p=0,021).
