Abstract

A globalization has brought a change in business interest. The winner of business competition is not only thefirm with bigger earn but also bigger awareness to create value added to stakeholder. These activities publicly named Corporate Social Responsibility. This study aims to examine the association between themes of Corporate social Responsibility disclosure tofirm's performance. The expected result is positive influence indication among both ofthem. The disclosure ofCSR consist of four theme such as employee relation, environment, social contribution andproduct, while firm's performance measured by market performance whose proxy is closing stock price. To control the unobservable factor, earning per share, price book to value and return on equity used as control variable. A sample of31 firms whose market capitalization value at Top Fifty ranked by IDXstatistic during 2007 to 2008 was used. The sample selection usedpurposive method sampling and the data is analyzed by Ordinary Least Square through SPSS IS The result ofthis study reveals that earning per share, price book to value andreturn on equity have associated with closing stock price while the otherfactors, employee relation theme, environment theme, social contribution theme, product theme have no significantly association Keyword : Corporate Social Responsibility, closing stockprice, earning per share, price book to value, return on equity, employee relation, environment, social contribution, product
