Abstract
Umumnya anak pra sekolah mempunyai masalah rendahnya nafsu makan dan hanya mengkonsumsi jenis makanan tertentu, sehingga mendorong ibu untuk memberikan suplemen makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan konsumsi suplemen makanan dengan tingkat kecukupan gizi dan status gizi (BB/U). Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenisExplanatory Researchdengan disainCross Sectional serta menggunakan metode survei. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa TK Islam Hidayatullah Banyumanik Semarang yang berjumlah 151 anak sedangkan sampel sebesar 49 anak dengan responden ibu dari sampel. Pengambilan sampel secarapurposiveberdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisis data berupa analisis deskriptif dan analisis analitik menggunakan ujiPearson Product Moment dan Rank Spearman. Rata-rata konsumsi vitamin A dari suplemen 97,2% AKG,vitamin C 63,9% AKG, besi 1,6% AKG, kalsium 5,4% AKG. Rata-rata konsumsi non suplemen vitamin A 84,6% AKG, vitamin C 169,6% AKG, besi 205,9% AKG, kalsium 161,6% AKG. Rata-rata tingkat kecukupan vitamin A 181,8% AKG, vitamin C 233,6% AKG, besi 207,6% AKG, kalsium 167,1% AKG. Rata-rata z-score BB/U 0,3204 (gizi baik), bila dikategorikan status gizi baik 81,6%, lebih 14,3% dan kurang 4,1%. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan ada hubungan konsumsi vitamin A dan vitamin C dari suplemen dengan tingkat kecukupan gizi (p<0,05), tidak ada hubungan konsumsi besi dan kalsium dari suplemen dengan tingkat kecukupan gizi, tidak ada hubungantingkat kecukupan gizi dengan status gizi (BB/U) dan tidak ada hubungan konsumsi suplemen makanan dengan status gizi (BB/U) (p>0,05). Dilihat dari konsumsi non suplemen maka konsumsi supIemen tidak diperlukan. Ibu sebelum memutuskan memberikan suplemen makanan sebaiknya mempertimbangkan berbagai aspek yang terkait dengan kecukupan gizi dan keadaan kesehatan. This research’s aim is to know the correlation between food supplement consumption with Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) level and nutrition status. This is an Explanatory Research with Cross Sectional design and survey methode. The population is the students of Hidayatullah Islamic Kindergarten Banyumanik Semarang that 151 childrens. The sample is 49 children and their mother as respondents. Samples are taken by purposive sampling based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis are descriptive and analitic by Pearson Product Moment and Rank Spearman tests. The mean of vitamin A supplement consumption is 97,2% RDA, vitamin C 63,9% RDA, iron 1,6% RDA, calcium 5,4% RDA. Mean of daily consumption from non supllement for vitamin A is 84,6% RDA, vitamin C 169,6% RDA, iron 205,9% RDA, calcium 161,6% RDA. The mean of level of vitamin A intake is 181,8% RDA, vitamin C 233,6% RDA, iron 207,6% RDA, calcium 167,1% RDA. Mean of z-score (W/A) is 0,3204 (good nutrition). Data categorized as good nutrition is 81,6%, over nutition 14,3% and deficiency 4,1%. Statistic resulted that there are correlation between vitamin A and vitamin C supplement consumption with RDA level (p<0,05), no correlation between iron and calcium supplement consumption with RDA level, no correlation between RDA level with nutrition status (W/A), no correlation between food supplement consumption with nutrition status (W/A) (p>0,05). According of daily consumption from non supplement so food supplement consumption is not necessary. It is suggested for mothers to consider many aspect related to RDA and health condition before decided to consume food supplement.
