Abstract

Proses pengolahan nikel di PT ANTAM Tbk. dapat menimbulkan pencemaran udara oleh debu akibat proses produksi. Debu merupakan partikel padat yang dapat menimbulkan peyakit salah satunya penyakit paru akbat kerja. Pemaparan debu secara terus menerus dapat berlangsun dalam waktu yang lamadapat menurunkan kapasitas fungsi paru. masuknya debu kedalam paru-paru sangat dipengaruhi oleh masa kerja. kelainan paru yang dapat terjadi berupa restriktif, obstruktif, dan kombinasi keduanya. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hibungan antara masa kerja dengan keadaan fungsi paru serta masa kerja pekerja di bagian peleburan PT ANTAM Tbk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah adalah explanatory reseach dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Subyek penelitian ini adalah pekerja di bagian peleburan PT ANTAM Tbk. yang berjumlah 115 orang. Penentuan jumlah sampel dengan minimal sample size, dan diperoleh sampel berjumlah 44 orang, pengambila data dilakkan dengan pengukuran langsung dan kuesioner. Analisa ata dengan menggunakan uji korelasi product moment. hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara masa kerja dengan nilai FEV1 pekerja (p=0,003 dan r=-0,433). Ada hubungan antara masa kerja dengan nilai %FEV1/FVC pekerja (p=0,009 dan r=-0,389) dan tidak ada hubungan antara masa kerja dengan nilai FVC pekerja (p=0,061 dan r=-0,285). Saran yang diberikan adalah melakukan rotasi kerja yaitu dengan mengatur jadwal atau menempatkan tenaga kera di tempat yang mempunai resko kecil untuk terpapar debu, sehinga dapat mencegah atau menghindari terjadina penyakit akibat kerja. NICKEL PROCESSING BISNIS UNIT FOR OPERATION POMALAA, KOLAKA REGENCY PROVINCE OF SOUTHEAST OF SULAWESI Nickel processing in PT ANTAM Tbk. can cause air pollution from dust that caused by production process. Dust are solid particles which can lead to some diseases, one of them is lung disease, caused by workng. Dust exposure continously that last in long period can decrease lung function capacity. Dust that enter to the lung is influenced by working period. Lung disorder which can occur such as restrictive,obstructive and combination both of them. This reseach was aimed to know the correlation between working period with lung function capacity and know working perod of worker at melting division in PT ANTAM Tbk. The reseach method that was use is explanatory reseach with cross sectional approach. The reseach subjects were 115 workers at melting division in PT ANTAM Tbk. Sample determination by minimal sample size, and was obtained 44 samples. Observation was done by measuring directly and filling questioner. data analysis by using correlation product moment test method. The result showed that there were a correlation between working period with FEV! value of worker (p=0,003 and r=-0,433), significant correlation between working period with FEV1/FVC percentage of worker (p=0,009 and r= -0,389) and no correlation between working period with FVC value of worker (p= 0,061 and r= -0,285). The suggest that given is carry out working rotation by organizing schedule or placing the workers ta the place that has minimun risk of dust exposure, so that can avoid the diseases caused by working.
