PENGARUH LOCUS OF CONTROL TERHADAP STRATEGI OPERASIONAL DAN KINERJA UKM DENGAN L1NGKUNGAN SEBAGAI VARIABEL MODERATOR Studi Kasus pada Industri Jenang di Kabupaten Kudus

Abstract

Usaha kecil dan menengah (UKM) memainkan peran penting dalam perekonomian suatu negara. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja UKM, baik dari segi modal, tenaga kerja, tehnologi kebijakan pemerintah dan lain sebagainya. Faktor yang paling penting adalah falctor sumber daya manusia yang terlibat dalam UKM itu sendiri. Sampai sejauh ini belum ada penelitian yang meneliti penganth kepribadian pemilik usaha kecil terhadap strategi operasional dan kinerja UKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh locus of control terhadap strategi operasional dan kinerja UKM dan juga pengaruh lingkungan sebagai variabel moderator. Metode analisis regresi linear dan berganda dengan interaksi digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis yang ada, yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan metode analisis residual. Basil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa locus of control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap strategi operasional maupun kinerja UICM. Berbeda dengan hasil penelitian sebelumnya, variabel lingkungan dalam penelitian ini ternyata bukan merupakan variabel moderator yang memediasi hubungan antara variabel strategi operasional dan kinerja UKM, tetapi merupakan variabel independen yang mempengaruhi pemilihan strategi operasional itu sendiri Kata kunci : Locus of control, strategi operasional, kinerja, lingkungan, regresi berganda dengan interaksi, analisis residual.Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in a nation's economy. There are so many factors that influence SMEs performance : capital, human resources, technology, government policies, etc. But the most important is human resources itself There is no study on SMEs relating the personality of the owner and their influence on the operation strategy and SMEs performance. The purposes of this research is to analyze the influence of locus of control of an entrepreneur to his operations strategy and performance, and environment as moderators of the relationship between operations strategy and performance. We use linear regression analysis, moderated regression analysis and residual analysis to test the hypothesis. We found that locus of control had positive and signcant influence on operations strategy and &WE 's performance. Different with previous research, environments do not moderated the relationship between strategy and performance, but directly affect to operations strategy.
