Abstract
ABSTRACT The Police Institution is the most advance institution which up hold the law, in which fro time to time it is faced to the harder duties and more compex challenges. With its duties, the Police of the Republic of Indonesia need sufficient energy, and a big number of human resources in order to anticipate in crrying out their duties. But infact, the human resource of the police are extremely limited, especially when we compare with the number of the population. The ratio of the police number wich is recommended by the united nation is about 1:400 while ratio for the are of central java is only 1:1.413. The research studied the ten types of work values at the Police head quarter of central java in which includes the aspect of pleasure work value work on the operation duties, pleasure of the administrative duties, suitability of the position and education background, proud of the profession, work involvement, social status and position, high income, changes to get a better positon challenging duties, suitability of duties and skill. In this research, the number of population are 1146 persons and 229 persons as samples were taken from the member of the Police Head Quarters of central Java. The method of range levels and proportional are used in this research, which means that the number of population bused on the range levels are taken in random and proportional. The supporting data has been obtained by distributing questionair with the 7 likert scale and 229 respondents. This research used anova by program of SPSS 10.00 as the analysis equipment. Based on the anova analysis, this research has found thad there is no differences between variable of duties type, education level and age with their work value stratification according to rank While based on the sex variable, there is a difference of the work value. The work value which is prominently selected is proud of profession. The next work value is demand of suitability between duties and skills, position and education as well, work involvement and the most important is social status and position. This comprehension is as and actualization of member of the Police of the Republic of Indonesia that they are ready to be assigned any where without arguing the order. Then; the result of work value based on this research in sequence are as follows: proud of profession, suitability of duties and skill, work involvement, suitability of position and education, chances to get a better position, pleasure on operational duties, challenging duties, high income, pleasure on administrative duties and social status and position ABSTRAKSI Lembaga Kepolisian adalah lembaga penegak hukum terdepan, dari waktu ke waktu dihadapkan pada tugas dan tantangan yang semakin berat dan komplek. Polri dengan tugasnya, sebenamya membutuhkan energi, sumber daya manusia yang sangat besar untuk mengantisipasi pelaksanaan pekerjaannya. Tetapi dalam kenyataannya sumber daya manusia Polisi sangat terbatas, apabila dibandingkan dengan besamya jumlah penduduk. Rasio jutnlah Polri dengan penduduk yang dianjurkan oleh PBB yalmi 1 • 400, sedang rasio untuk Jawa Tengah 1 • 1 413. Pada penelitian ini meneliti 10 nilai-nilai kerja Polisi yang ada di Mapolda Jawa Tengah yang meliputi aspek nilai kerja kesukaan pada tugas operasional, kesukaan pada tugas administrasi, kesesuaian jabatan dengan pendidikan, kebanggaan profesi, keterlibatan kerja, status sosial clan jabatan, pendapatan yang tinggi, posisi untuk maju, tugas menantang, kesesuaian tugas dan keterampilan. Populasi dan sampel berasal dari anggota Polisi Mapolda Jawa Tengah. Metode yang dipakai menggunakan strata sampling secara acak dan proporsional, artinya jumlah populasi menurut strata pangkat diambil sampel secara acak dan proposional.Pengambilan data melalui penyebaran lcuesioner dengan tujuh skala likert dan jumlah responden 229. Mat analisis yang dipakai adalah Anova dengan pfogram SPSS 10.00. Berdasarkan analisis Anova pada penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa variabel jenis penugasan, tingkat pendidikan, usia dan kepangkatan nilai-nilai kerjanya tidak berbeda. Sedang menurut variabel jenis kelamin nilai kerjanya terdapat perbedaan. Nilai kerja yang ditempatkan pada posisi paling penting adalah kebanggaan profesi. Adapun nilai kerja berilcutnya adalah menghendaki kesesuaian tugas dengan keterampilan, kesesuaian jabatan dan pendidikan, keterlibatan kerja dan yang paling tidak penting adalah status sosial dan jabatan. Pemahaman ini sebagai aktualisasi personil Polri slap untuk di tugaskan dimanapun tanpa melawan perintah. Adapun hash l urutan nilai-nilai kerja berdasarkan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut : Kebanggaan Profesi, Kesesuaian Tugas dan Ketrampilan, Keterlibatan Kerja, Kesesuaian Jabatan dan Pendidikan, Posisi untuk Maju, Kesukaan Pada Tugas Oprasional, Tugas Menantang, Pendapatan Tinggi, Kesukaan Pada Tugas Administrasi dan status Sosial dan Jabatan
